Overview As a Credit Analyst, you manage the accounts receivable portfolio for the district with a focus on reducing risk and maximizing collections. You will assess creditworthiness, support underwriting decisions, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve balances and ensure policy compliance. Your work directly contributes to the financial health of the business and district operations. This role offers exposure to underwriting, collections, and project securitization within a dynamic, cross-functional environment. Responsibilities- Conduct credit investigations on existing and potential customers and projects
- Perform underwriting analysis on GC's/owners, sureties, and other pertinent parties for new jobs
- Analyze and interpret financial data from sources like corporate statements, D&B, NACM to determine credit extension within authority
- Prepare and submit monthly collection-related reports to management
- Monitor aging accounts and determine required actions
- Collaborate with Shared Services to ensure timely responses and good customer experience
- Produce ad hoc reports for credit and finance leadership
- Make collection calls and manage accounts within the portfolio
- Field requests for credit assistance from various sources
- Reconcile short payments and perform account reconciliations as needed
- Review lien/bond filing dates for collectability
- Follow up on disputes with districts and sales staff
- Facilitate placement of accounts with collection agencies and escalate when appropriate
- Participate in training for progression into higher roles
Key requirements- 2+ years in credit & collections, construction industry preferred
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Mgmt. related field preferred
- Timely collection and follow-up within portfolio
