Overview As Senior Financial Accounting Analyst you will oversee production and distribution accounting, supporting third-party providers and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will drive the quarterly and year-end closes, analyze production costs, distribution revenue, overhead, and interest, and deliver Studio Financial Reporting and footnotes. You'll partner with Finance, Corporate Controllership, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A to ensure US GAAP compliance. This role offers exposure to cross-divisional collaboration and opportunities to improve processes and accuracy within a storied entertainment portfolio.

Responsibilities- Liaise with business partners to provide technical accounting guidance for new initiatives
- Support and guide third-party service providers on accounting matters
- Review financial statements for studio production and distribution units to ensure accuracy
- Prepare quarterly financial statements and variance analyses for balance sheet and income statement
- Produce key quarterly and year-end reporting deliverables and footnotes
- Prepare monthly development and production spending packages and explain variances
- Prepare monthly production cost rollforwards for multiple business areas
- Forecast overhead and/or interest on a quarterly basis
- Analyze estimated film costs (EFCs) and variance analyses quarterly
- Record monthly distribution cash statements and prepare quarterly accruals
- Manage ad-hoc reporting and projects for Senior Management
- Prepare and submit requests related to SOX compliance, tax, and audits
- Support continuous improvement to enhance accuracy and efficiency of financial records
- Assist Manager of Production Accounting with review of journal entries and reporting deliverables
Key requirements- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting and/or entertainment accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities
- Team-oriented with customer-service mindset
- Problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
- Experience overseeing work of third-party service providers

- Experience with journal entries review and reporting deliverables
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred (optional)
- Bachelor in Accounting requested
