Overview In this Civil Engineer role at K&A Engineering in Binghamton, you contribute to grading, drainage, foundations, and site layouts for energy and utility projects. You'll lead civil design work across the capital program and ensure compliance with codes, SWPPP, SPCC, and stormwater plans. Responsibilities- Grading and drainage design and review
- Foundations design and review
- Driveway and drive area design and review
- Overall site plan and truck/trailer access design and review
- Civil engineering lead and advisor for all projects and the capital program
- Stormwater Management and Site Erosion Control Plan
- Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC)
- Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
Key requirements- Bachelor in Engineering
- 2-5+ years of engineering experience in Civil Engineering
- Design experience using MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D or related tools
- Expert knowledge of local, state, and federal building code requirements
- Flexibility, creative problem-solving and above-average interpersonal/collaboration (Team) skills
- Ability to work independently and meet quick turnaround timelines
