Overview As Manager of the Sleep Lab, you will lead clinical and research procedures, setting policies, standards, and quality improvements. You will guide day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and cross-functional collaboration to support pediatric sleep diagnostics. You will drive accreditation efforts and expand the Sleep Lab program, ensuring safe, effective patient care from newborns to young adults. This role offers a chance to shape the lab's growth within a mission-driven pediatric environment and work closely with colleagues across IDS and vendor partners.
Responsibilities- Develop and monitor QA standards
- Monitor employee performance per department and IDS guidelines
- Manage daily operational activities
- Supervise daily procedure scheduling and prioritize requests
- Adjust workload with scheduling changes
- Monitor and order supplies; ensure equipment safety and functionality
- Interact with vendors and participate in instrument selection and testing
- Provide patient care and direct supervision of technical staff
- Coordinate staff education and professional development
- Provide strategic leadership for Sleep Lab expansion and growth
- Participate in IDS projects as appropriate
- Attend continuing education and fulfill mandatory education requirements
- Aim for accreditation with commendation (JCAHO and AASM alignment)
- Collaborate to meet department and system requirements for accreditation
Key requirements- HS Diploma or GED
- RPSGT certification
- 5 years of technical experience including 2 years in supervisory roles and general lab management
