Supply Chain Buyer

In this role you contribute to cost-effective procurement for production and supplier management within Textron Systems' Supply Chain. You will source materials, analyze markets, and manage quotes and orders to ensure quality and timely deliveries. You support compliance, delivery validation, and documentation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position offers the chance to optimize sourcing strategies and impact production readiness in a multi-industry company.

• Purchase materials from suppliers at lowest cost while ensuring quality and reliability
• Study market trends, interview vendors, and recommend sources of supply
• Solicit and analyze quotations to fulfill authorizing source documentation
• Monitor outstanding orders and expedite shipments to maintain production schedules
• Negotiate adjustments for price changes, discrepancies, or cancellations
• Obtain delivery certifications and validate items, and check invoice payments
• Develop and maintain records/files for compliance; support proposal cost data preparation
• Preferred: knowledge of weld processes, mechanical and custom fabrication

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
• 2+ Years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field
• Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Effective verbal and written communications skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on MS Excel
