Overview You will help source a Cockpit commodity, shaping purchasing strategies and supplier partnerships. Working in a cross-functional environment, you'll drive cost-effective, resilient supply solutions aligned with Ford's objectives. You'll engage early with Product Development and other teams to support new programs and risk management. Responsibilities- Develop and execute purchasing strategies for the Cockpit commodity aligned with financial targets
- Lead sourcing activities for future vehicle programs and assess make-vs-buy decisions
- Cultivate and manage relationships with strategic suppliers leveraging SRF principles
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, monitor supplier financial health, and establish backup plans
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, Cost Estimating, Finance, and MP&L
- Stay informed on market trends and regulations to inform sourcing decisions
- Assist in category strategy development and resiliency planning for Cockpit materials
- Drive purchasing discipline through dashboards, AI/tools, and contract sign-offs
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Procurement or related field
- 3+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience
- Strong business acumen, collaboration, and communication in cross-functional settings
- Strong analytical skills with cost drivers and cost modeling
