Sr Tax Counsel

As Sr. Tax Counsel you will drive tax value for acquisitions, dispositions, financings, restructurings, and joint ventures, working across global teams to optimize taxes. You will translate complex tax issues for senior leadership and coordinate with external advisors to shape deal economics. This fast-paced, collaborative setting rewards strategic thinking and strong execution in tax planning. You will mentor the tax team and help advance NextEra's deal and growth agenda.

• Manage global tax projects and analyze tax rules for planning transactions
• Collaborate with foreign and domestic tax advisors and multiple business units
• Model tax consequences to compare alternatives and inform decisions
• Draft, negotiate, and review tax provisions in deal documents
• Prepare and review technical tax memoranda
• Communicate complex tax issues to senior management and stakeholders
• Lead and develop team members
• Coordinate with Governmental Affairs, Investor Relations, and Communications on legislative priorities
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

• Bachelor's Degree
• Juris Doctorate
• 8+ years of experience
• Member in Good Standing of State Bar
