Job description

Overview

As an Area Security Supervisor, you lead and coordinate security personnel to protect government property and ensure compliance with SOPs and client requirements. You will supervise PSOs, manage incident responses, and train staff to uphold high safety standards. The role combines field leadership with operational planning, including scheduling and investigations, to maintain secure, compliant environments across assigned locations. You will work closely with the contract team to meet contract goals and adapt to emergencies and contingencies.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise PSO staff and direct daily security duties across assigned location
  • Train, monitor, and coordinate PSOs; enforce disciplinary actions per policy
  • Oversee security operations to meet customer requirements and SOPs
  • Review and finalize incident reports; escalate policy violations
  • Conduct on-the-job training per contract plan
  • Respond to incidents (alarms, trespass, disturbances); act as Incident Commander when needed
  • Lead investigations involving SOC or Government property
  • Create and manage work schedules, including overtime per Union agreement
  • Improve work methods, SOPs, and organizational structure for efficiency
  • Fulfill Contract Manager duties when required
Key requirements
  • 2-5 years of leadership/supervisory experience
  • 2+ years armed security or 1 year law enforcement in full-duty status (US) or 2+ years honorable service in US Armed Forces
  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must be able to qualify as PSO and have firearms experience
  • Strong training and coaching ability
  • Ability to work under stress and exercise sound judgment during investigations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must obtain NM armed security guard certification; maintain government clearances
  • English proficiency (read, write, speak)
  • Minimum age 21
  • Travel within state may be required; possible non-local training travel
  • COVID-19 vaccination per EO unless legally exempt
