Overview As Sales Director, Select, you lead a team of sales professionals to drive profitable growth within assigned agency territories. You own sales strategy, coach and develop the team, and build strong relationships with agents and distribution partners. You collaborate with Product, Underwriting, and Operations to align sales plans with company objectives and leverage data-driven insights. This role blends field leadership with strategic execution to advance Travelers' value proposition. You will be a brand ambassador, shaping growth and delivering measurable impact in the market.

Responsibilities- Select, train and manage a team of Sales Executives to meet sales targets and align with Vision and Values
- Coordinate sales planning and quarterly performance reviews
- Foster high performance, continuous learning, and proactive initiative
- Develop and implement advanced sales strategies to expand and manage territory for profitable growth
- Own territory strategy, set goals, and monitor performance using metrics
- Conduct agency diagnostics to identify growth opportunities and nurture relationships
- Manage onboarding and performance goals for new agencies
- Lead in-person office engagements to strengthen partnerships
- Influence agency partners through communication, negotiation, and leadership
- Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, and Operations to align sales with business objectives
- Leverage data, analytics and AI to guide decisions and identify opportunities
- Represent region at agency meetings and manage key broker relationships
- Utilize Travelers systems and platforms for strategic sales decisions
- Analyze market and channel trends to drive market share and profitability
- Explore multiple product solutions at the account level
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business or related field
- Eight+ years of insurance marketing and sales experience with a high-value book of business
- Four+ years of leadership/management experience
- Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or willingness to pursue
- Expert knowledge of Travelers products and Property & Casualty marketplace
- Exceptional influencing, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proven relationship-building with diverse stakeholders
- Advanced agency appointment skills
- Ability to set direction, energize teams, and achieve goals
- Strong organizational skills and prioritization
