Overview

In this role you apply expert forensic analysis to electrical-related failures for insurance clients, guiding projects from assignment to delivery. You serve as Engineer of Record for junior engineers and communicate findings with clients, often under tight timelines. You may travel regionally to inspect structures and equipment and provide testimony when needed. Responsibilities
  • Provide expert forensic analysis on a range of engineering projects
  • Serve as Engineer of Record for Associate Engineers
  • Deliver honest, unbiased analysis and consultations on failures
  • Occasionally perform appraisals on structures and equipment
  • Travel within assigned regions and to other regions as needed
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics and deliver timely reports
  • Maintain client communications with project timelines and updates
  • Be willing to provide expert testimony or depositions
  • Support training and mentoring opportunities for advancement
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Key requirements
  • Active P.E. licensure in the applying state
  • Multiple state P.E. licensures preferred
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licensures as needed
  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • Experience with expert testimony or deposition preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in written reports and communication
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel and flexible schedule during peak demand
  • Ability to work remotely and from home office
  • Physical ability to climb roofs and conduct hands-on investigations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
