Overview As Commercial Risk Client Executive, you will manage and service complex commercial accounts at a strategic level, developing consultative client relationships. You will educate clients on coverage options and align insurance architecture with client operations. You lead renewal discussions, prepare marketplace submissions, and coordinate cross-functional teams to exceed service expectations. This role combines deep insurance expertise with client-facing strategy to support risk management objectives and growth.
Responsibilities- Acquire and retain large, complex clients through deep risk understanding and effective communication
- Develop trusted partnerships with key insurance company partners and broker representatives
- Lead client renewal discussions, including coverage and pricing comparisons, historical loss experience, and projected loss picks
- Prepare complex submissions for the marketplace (loss picks, deductible stratification, endorsements, exposure info)
- Coordinate client team (Account Management, Risk Mitigation, Claims Consulting, Risk Analysts) to exceed service standards
- Assess final audits to ensure accuracy between client and insurer audits
- Build trusting relationships with clients, partners, brokers, and advisors through integrity and expertise
- Share deep insurance expertise with firm's advisors and colleagues to advise, develop, and train
Key requirements- State insurance license or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum seven (7) years of commercial insurance experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex risk exposures and map risks to recommendations
- Exceptional technical knowledge of insurance coverage, contracts, market conditions, and underwriting appetites
- Experience in reviewing, placing and negotiating loss-sensitive casualty and workers' compensation placements (including captive structures) preferred
- Industry specialization in Construction, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Wholesale Trade, Transportation, Retail Trade, Real Estate, Services, etc. preferred
- Sound judgement based on objective analysis and multiple perspectives
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word; Epic knowledge preferred
- Designations preferred: CPCU, CIC, CRM, or ARM
