Forensic Accounting Manager

Overview

In this role you lead end-to-end forensic accounting investigations focused on fraud and financial misconduct, delivering legally defensible results and expert reports. You will support litigation and regulatory submissions, coordinate with legal counsel and clients, and guide data-driven investigations using forensic tech. You'll manage a team of analysts, plan remediation efforts, and influence internal controls to address root causes. Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end forensic accounting investigations into suspected fraud and financial misconduct, delivering thorough, legally defensible results on time and within budget
  • Produce clear expert reports, affidavits, and exhibits for litigation/arbitration and regulatory submissions; participate in depositions and trials as needed
  • Act as primary liaison for legal counsel, insurers, and clients, coordinating evidence collection and document review from kickoff to resolution
  • Design and execute investigation plans including data analysis, transaction testing, asset tracing, and financial statement reconstruction using forensic tech and e-discovery tools
  • Apply data analytics platforms (IDEA, ACL, SQL, Python/R, Excel) to identify anomalies, trace funds, and quantify losses across large datasets
  • Supervise, mentor, and quality-review a team of forensic accountants and analysts to maintain professional standards
  • Advise clients on remediation plans and internal control enhancements to address root causes identified during investigations
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience leading complex forensic accounting and litigation support engagements with expert reports
  • Ability to present findings to attorneys, clients, and in court/arbitration; deposition/trial experience required
  • Proficiency with IDEA, ACL, SQL, Python/R, and advanced Excel modeling
  • Supervisory or project management experience including staffing, budgeting, and QA
