Overview In this role you will partner with the Executive Committee to shape and execute Waters' enterprise strategy. You will lead cross-functional teams across R&D, manufacturing and quality on strategic initiatives that advance the company's scientific and commercial goals. You'll manage key projects, coach teams, and communicate recommendations to senior leaders. This position offers exposure to high-impact, visible work and opportunities to influence Waters' strategic direction and growth. A strong scientific background with business experience and outstanding stakeholder skills will help you drive meaningful change.
Responsibilities- Lead cross-functional strategic projects defined by CEO and EC with clear impact
- Manage collaborations with external consultants and ensure alignment
- Prepare recommendations and present updates to leadership
- Balance large workload while prioritizing critical initiatives
- Model leadership and scientific rigor within Waters culture
- Support and contribute to the annual Strategic Planning Process
- Facilitate strategy workshops, define targets and KPIs
- Identify and assess major business opportunities, including organic and inorganic growth
- Build diverse perspectives through market research and external networks
- Provide independent recommendations to the EC and drive people development
Key requirements- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MBA) with scientific or engineering background
- Consulting background with project management experience
- Experience in life sciences tools, diagnostics, medical devices, biopharma or related fields
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with business and financial acumen
- Outstanding verbal/written communication with ability to influence senior management
