Overview As a Senior Structural Engineer at LaBella, you lead the structural discipline on large, complex projects from design through construction administration. You collaborate across multi-discipline teams to deliver cost-effective systems and accurate documentation. You'll perform calculations, supervise engineers and technicians, and maintain client relationships while guiding budgets and proposals. Responsibilities- Lead a team of structural engineers, designers, and technicians in producing construction documents
- Develop system layouts, perform calculations, and coordinate with other disciplines
- Conduct site visits for documentation and cost estimation
- Prepare technical specifications and review shop drawings/submittals
- Inspect construction progress and completed work on-site
- Manage project budgets, hours, and resources
- Maintain client relationships and prepare engineering reports
- Tackle complex and specialty design tasks and stay updated on technical advancements
- Collaborate with regional managers on workload and assist with proposals
Key requirements- Minimum 15 years in the consulting engineering industry
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- BS in Civil Engineering
- New York State PE license
- Revit experience is a plus
- Project history using computer analysis software is essential
