Overview As an Assistant Property Manager, you support the Property Manager to oversee a property or portfolio, focusing on financials, tenant relations, and operations. You'll help manage budgets, owner reporting, and lease administration while supervising vendors and maintenance staff. The role emphasizes on-site engagement, strong customer service, and timely issue resolution to protect property value and tenant satisfaction. Responsibilities- Assist with day-to-day property activities and lease administration
- Supervise vendors and maintenance staff
- Conduct regular property inspections and report recommendations
- Support budget development and operating/capital budgeting
- Prepare monthly owner reports and variances
- Coordinate tenant improvements and capital projects
- Respond to tenant needs and ensure issue resolution
- Manage leases to ensure compliance and timely rent collection
- Maintain insurance certificates and ensure lease compliance
- Show space to prospective tenants (where state license applies)
- Prepare service and construction documents and contract approvals
- Track Energy Star benchmarking data
- Maintain tenant relations and conduct needs assessments
- Communicate with project accounting personnel with proper documentation
- On-site representation of Property Manager authority when needed
- Handle on-site operations and documentation workflows
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Property Manager
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or HR Management related discipline
- RPA designation in progress preferred
- Real Estate License where required by state law
- Minimum 3 years of property management experience (commercial/Class A Office preferred)
- Strong MS 365 Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency
- Proficiency in Angus and accounting software such as MRI, Yard or CTI
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
