Corporate Real Estate Manager

Overview

In this role, you will lead global Real Estate sourcing and manage Kennametal's 120+ property portfolio, negotiating leases and coordinating with external service providers. You will develop and implement strategic sourcing for CRE, drive cost savings, and ensure alignment with business and executive stakeholders. You will monitor market trends, ensure regulatory and policy compliance, and support portfolio optimization and capital planning. This position offers high impact through cross-functional collaboration and global portfolio governance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and governance of global Real Estate sourcing strategies
  • Coordinate with regional sourcing groups to understand local requirements and provide support
  • Manage CRE-related sourcing activities including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance management
  • Oversee lease administration and transactions for a 120+ site portfolio, including due diligence and site selections
  • Collaborate with business units, finance, legal, and regional teams to align portfolio plans
  • Coordinate with external service providers for real estate transactions and leverage market knowledge
  • Standardize processes, tools, and governance for sourcing, transactions, reporting, and compliance
  • Support capital planning, including business cases and executive presentations
  • Track KPIs and use data insights to identify improvements and decision support
  • Develop CRE policies and ensure alignment with EHS, Security, and Facilities
  • Provide consulting on real estate strategy, portfolio optimization, and space planning
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and broader sourcing projects
  • Act as corporate credit card administrator for travel, T&E and personal expenses
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Finance/Accounting, Engineering or Business; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years in Strategic Sourcing with 3+ years in Global Real Estate
  • CPSM certification
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP
  • Strong integrity, ethics, and compliance with corporate conduct
  • Proven ability to lead and develop sourcing teams and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Understanding of financial concepts, cost analysis, and supplier management
