Overview

As a Principal Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will solve complex TA challenges and guide best practices across the function. You'll lead teams or projects, coach peers, and bring deep TA expertise to the HR team. You'll partner with leaders to plan workforce needs and shape global recruitment strategies. Your impact spans direct hire, contract roles, and international markets, helping the organization attract top talent in a competitive energy sector.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders and HR teams to understand workforce needs and plan hiring
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies for direct hire and contingent roles
  • Attract and recruit top talent across disciplines and regions
  • Deliver innovative solutions and tailored hiring strategies for global clients
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment from requisition to onboarding
  • Coach hiring managers on process, expectations, and timelines
  • Utilize advanced sourcing techniques (LinkedIn Recruiter, boards, networks, market research)
  • Monitor sourcing channel effectiveness and optimize for hiring goals
  • Build proactive candidate pipelines and engage passive talent
  • Mentor and support TA team members and drive process improvements
  • Represent the company at career events and contribute to employer branding
  • Maintain accurate documentation in ATS/CRM and collaborate with GRC
  • Track KPIs and ensure recruitment targets are met or exceeded
  • Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and diversity initiatives
  • Support cross-border recruitment and 360-recruitment activities including BD
  • Lead or participate in special recruiting projects and workforce planning
  • Adapt to business needs with flexibility beyond core scope
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7-9 years in progressive Talent Acquisition with at least 5 years in agency/corporate recruiting
  • Experience recruiting in Oil & Gas, Energy, Engineering, or related sectors
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment for direct hire and contract roles
  • Proficient in LinkedIn Recruiter and advanced sourcing tools
  • Knowledge of global recruiting practices and international talent acquisition
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding recruitment metrics
  • Experience recruiting across multiple countries (US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil)
  • Experience leading small teams or regional initiatives
  • Consultative partnering with leaders and hiring managers
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requisitions
  • Advanced MS Office proficiency
