Accounting Manager - CPA Firm - Client Bookkeeping

Overview

In this role you will lead client accounting engagements, delivering full-charge bookkeeping, KPI reporting, and financial analysis for diverse clients. You'll supervise and train junior staff, manage engagement timelines and budgets, and drive business development efforts. Responsibilities
  • Oversee engagement teams across multiple client engagements to ensure scope adherence
  • Maintain client financial records and prepare period-end packages under US GAAP/IFRS or cash basis
  • Assist clients with budgets, forecasts, and projections
  • Build, prepare, and analyze KPI dashboards for clients
  • Ensure timely client communications and adherence to timelines
  • Manage budgets and minimize overruns; monitor accounts receivable
  • Invoice clients monthly and supervise training and development of staff
  • Perform team training and business development activities, including travel for firm events
Key requirements
  • 7-10 years of accounting experience with recent time as an account manager or equivalent in industry finance or public accounting
  • Strong understanding of double-entry accounting; thorough accounting task execution
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP; basic taxation knowledge across individuals, corporations, and related taxes
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Strong English communication skills; ability to travel as needed
  • Proficiency in Excel and at least one accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online)
