Overview As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will support the PEO IWS BFM team at NAVSEA to manage budgets and financial risk for Navy defense programs. You will work with cross-functional groups to ensure accurate planning and execution of funding, while shaping financial policy and governance. This role involves mentoring junior staff and coordinating with IPTs to align financial controls with program objectives. You will engage with congressional budgeting cycles and provide timely, insightful financial analysis to inform decisions. Responsibilities- Oversee annual budget preparation and validation
- Analyze budget estimates for completeness and compliance with procedures
- Support development of Corporate Fund requirements and related planning
- Conduct financial risk analysis and advise on mitigation strategies
- Oversee development and issuance of financial policies and directives
- Facilitate IPT collaboration to improve business rules
- Mentor junior and mid-level financial analysts
- Track Congressional budgeting timelines and analyze related reports
- Prepare briefs, issue papers, and responses to public affairs actions
- Produce planned and emergent documents and issue analyses
Key requirements- 8-10 years of experience with Navy Financial Systems (N-ERP, PBIS, COBRA, NEPS)
- 8+ years of providing financial support to a Navy Program
- Active DoD SECRET clearance or ability to obtain
- Bachelor-level degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
