US Equity Research - SMid Technology - Associate

In this role you will become an industry expert for the SMid Technology sector, conducting in-depth industry and company analysis. You will build and maintain financial models, perform valuation work, and produce research notes and sector pieces. You will engage with internal and external clients, and collaborate with Sales and Trading to deliver comprehensive market coverage. The role is fast-paced, requiring strong accounting, finance, and communication skills to shape differentiated research ideas with real client impact.

• Build and maintain Excel-based financial models to forecast company performance and industry dynamics
• Perform detailed valuation work to support stock recommendations
• Analyze complex data sets, earnings releases, regulatory filings, and industry events
• Write research notes and sector reports and prepare presentations
• Cultivate relationships and communicate with internal and external clients, industry experts, and management teams
• Fulfill client requests for market updates and intelligence in a timely manner
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and generate ideas for differentiated research products

• FINRA licenses Series 86 and Series 87
• Two to three years of experience in equity research and/or investment banking
• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business communication skills, plus modelling, forecasting and valuation experience
• Advanced level of proficiency in Excel
• Ability to multi-task and collaborate within a team while also working independently
• High organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Passion for the markets and interest in the SMid Technology sector
