Overview In this role you will lead the design and review of bridge and structural components to meet project specs and regulatory standards. You will advise on constructability, value engineering and sustainability for bridges, and ensure seamless integration with other elements. You will provide technical support during construction, oversee bridge activities, and manage quality, risk, schedule, and cost related to bridge works. This position sits within our Gateway Program delivery, contributing to a high-impact, federally funded transportation initiative.

Responsibilities- Lead the design and review of bridge and structural components to meet specifications and regulatory requirements
- Advise on constructability, feasibility, value engineering, and sustainability for bridge structures
- Review design documents, drawings, and specifications prepared by the Engineer of Record and contractors
- Ensure integration of bridge designs with other project elements and packages
- Provide technical support during construction, including oversight of bridge activities and field issue resolution
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and change orders related to bridge and structural work
- Monitor progress against milestones and ensure timely completion of bridge construction activities
- Support implementation of quality management plans for bridge and structural works
- Conduct quality audits and inspections to confirm compliance with standards
- Verify contractor compliance with testing and inspection plans, and review results for accuracy
- Maintain systematic records of all testing, inspection, and acceptance activities for bridge structures
- Support schedule management and cost estimating for bridge-related activities
- Contribute to risk management by identifying potential structural risks and recommending mitigations
- Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for bridge and structural work
Key requirements- Bachelor in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in bridge and structural engineering on large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects
- Experience with federally funded projects and regulatory compliance preferred
- Advanced knowledge of bridge design, analysis, and construction methods
- Proficiency with structural engineering software and design tools
- Experience with QA, testing, and inspection processes for bridge structures
