Overview As a lean-driven IE leader, you will guide the Industrial Engineering team to boost productivity and optimize production processes. You'll collaborate with production, union representatives, and safety to implement improvements that reduce waste and improve line performance. You'll mentor engineers, manage time studies, and drive labor optimization across multiple shifts. Responsibilities- Lead ergonomics improvements and problem solving through IE actions
- Oversee workstation setup, optimization, and related engineering changes
- Supervise/coach IEs with time study schedules (MODAPTS)
- Interface with union/works council and Health and Safety on disputes and ergonomic issues
- Drive headcount cost savings projects
- Track progress monthly in WAVE and LRPT
- Lead cycle line layout and planning for mix and line speed changes
- Lead the Get Ready process
- Manage departmental rolls analysis for weekly manpower meetings
- Lead future model labor development and allocations
- Serve as a resource for plant IE training and assistance
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
- 5 years' experience in supervision in a manufacturing environment
- Root cause analysis capability and drive for change
- Flexibility to rotate to various plant positions (Production or Quality)
- Strong customer orientation and adherence to Quality Operating System
- Ability to execute and manage multiple priorities
- Participatory approach to union relations and team-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communications
