Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead technical execution across multiple concurrent MEP projects, design HVAC systems, coordinate disciplines, and mentor junior staff for a premier firm in the Akron area. Responsibilities Lead design, load calculations, hydronics, air distribution, and Client/control specifications from concept through permitting and construction administration. Ensure adherence to building, energy, and life-safety codes; oversee Revit modeling and enforce strict QA/QC standards. Collaborate with Project Managers on scopes, schedules, and budgets; represent the firm in client/architect meetings, site visits, and RFI/submittal reviews. Delegate tasks, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications BSME (or related) and Ohio PE license (or ability to obtain via reciprocity). 4+ years of MEP/consulting design experience in healthcare, higher education, institutional, municipal, or commercial sectors. Expertise in HVAC load calculations, central plants, complex hydronics, and building automation. Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, HVAC load software (Trace/HAP), and MS 365.
