Responsibilities- Review and approve tax returns and government examinations of varying complexity
- Oversee larger tax returns and delegate to preparers as needed
- Apply advanced technical tax skills to advise clients
- Ensure client service, on-time delivery, and adherence to budgets
- Lead client meetings and tax planning with the Auditing and Accounting Department for large clients
- Serve as a resource for staff on tax issues
- Manage complex business returns and delegated client responsibilities
- Monitor tax developments and communicate implications to firm personnel
- Oversee billing and collections processes
- Research and evaluate tax software and contribute to practice development efforts
Key requirements- 5-7 years of public accounting tax experience with progression in complexity
- Minimum 1 year supervising/t directing tax preparers
- Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA license required
- Master's degree in taxation preferred
- Current and valid CPA license
