Overview In this role you will lead the efficient preparation and review of client tax returns within a regional CPA firm. You will supervise staff, provide tax planning input, and interact with clients to support service delivery and compliance. The position offers growth toward Partnership and exposure to diverse clients across industries, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and effective tax advisory. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support larger engagements and firm objectives.

Responsibilities- Approve and review complex tax returns and examinations
- Manage workflow to ensure timely delivery of all tax returns
- Supervise and coach tax preparers and staff accountants
- Contribute to tax planning discussions and client meetings
- Serve as a resource on tax issues for A&A staff
- Oversee client service and billing processes
- Evaluate tax software for firm use and efficiency
- Participate in practice development and external/industry activities
- Represent clients in dealings with tax authorities when needed
- Monitor and communicate tax developments affecting clients
Key requirements- Five to seven years in public accounting with increasing tax complexity
- Minimum one year supervising tax preparers
- Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA license required
