Overview In this role you will lead client accounting engagements for a regional CPA firm, guiding teams to deliver bookkeeping, KPI reporting and financial analysis. You will own client communications, budgets and timelines, and drive business development while mentoring staff. Responsibilities- Oversee engagement teams on multiple engagements to ensure adherence to scope
- Maintain client financial records (bank, vendor, payroll)
- Prepare monthly/period-end packages under US GAAP or IFRS or cash basis
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, projections
- Build/analyze dashboards or KPI metrics for clients
- Ensure timely client communications and adherence to timelines
- Manage budgets and minimize overruns; manage invoices and AR
- Conduct team training and participate in business development
- Travel to other firm locations or networking events as needed
Key requirements- 7-10 years in accounting, with recent time as account manager or equivalent
- Strong understanding of double-entry accounting and US GAAP; basic taxation knowledge
- Bachelor in Accounting or related field
- Fluent business English communication
- Ability to travel to client or other office locations
- Proficient Excel; knowledge of at least one accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online)
- Self-starter with teamwork and independent work capability
- Occasional overtime
- Knowledge of additional accounting software a plus (Xero, Intacct, NetSuite, Concur)
