Overview In this role, you will lead HDR's environmental strategy for the Technology, Media & Telecommunications sector, acting as the primary environmental expert for data centers and digital infrastructure. You will drive permitting, land-use planning, and regulatory compliance while shaping market positioning and client solutions. You'll collaborate across regions to deliver complex projects and mentor the environmental team, contributing to HDR's growth and impact in the global TMT market.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement HDR's environmental strategy for the TMT Market Sector
- Lead permitting and land-use planning for data centers and telecom facilities
- Support business development and client engagement to grow HDR's environmental footprint
- Provide technical oversight for permitting programs and regulatory compliance
- Mentor environmental professionals and foster cross-functional collaboration
- Promote best practices in project delivery and knowledge sharing across regions
- Represent HDR in industry organizations, conferences, and client forums
- Support strategic growth initiatives and pursuit strategy workshops
Key requirements- Minimum 10+ years leading environmental planning, permitting, and regulatory programs
- Demonstrated experience with land use planning, development entitlements, and construction permitting
- Ability to build and maintain executive-level client relationships
