Overview In this role you maintain plant instrument and control equipment at the Manatee Plant and support outages across Florida. You will travel as needed, operate precision tools and meters, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable plant operation. You work with cross-location teams to install, test, and calibrate instruments, reading electrical/mechanical diagrams to keep systems running smoothly. This position offers field exposure, travel, and opportunities to impact plant reliability and energy delivery.

Responsibilities- Operate power tools and hand tools to maintain a safe, productive work environment
- Perform preventive maintenance on plant instrument and control equipment
- Install, test, and maintain electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical instruments and devices
- Calibrate instruments and maintain records of tests and maintenance
- Read and interpret electrical/mechanical diagrams and blueprints
- Install and maintain piping, tubing, and wiring from sensors to control elements
- Maintain stock/records of instruments, parts, and tools
- Travel to different plant sites to support outages as workload requires
Key requirements- Qualified as Instrument and Control Specialist or completed Apprentice Instrument and Control Specialist program
- Or experience as I&C technician with accredited training
- Or 2+ years in industrial maintenance with specified college courses (Algebra/Technical Math/DC/AC circuits, Physics, Electronic Devices I/II and labs, Communications I)
- Or equivalent military experience or other comparable rating
- Or associate degree in Electronics or Instrument Technology
