Overview In this role you will advance robotics SLAM and world reconstruction to enable reliable pose estimation and autonomous decision-making in dynamic home environments. You will work across visual-inertial odometry, 3D pose estimation, mapping, and reconstruction to deliver robust spatial intelligence for navigation and manipulation. You'll build evaluation frameworks, lead跨-team projects, and mentor engineers to solve real-world robotics problems. Responsibilities- Develop and implement robust localization, pose estimation, mapping, and reconstruction algorithms
- Create simulation-based and on-robot evaluation frameworks with benchmarks and metrics
- Lead scientific and technical projects across the spatial intelligence team
- Collaborate with navigation, manipulation, and other teams to ensure seamless localization, tracking, and mapping integration
- Mentor junior scientists and engineers to solve real-world robotics problems
Key requirements- PhD, or Master with 6+ years of applied research experience
- Experience leading technical initiatives and key deliverables
- 6+ years of building Localization and Mapping algorithms
- Strong publication record at major Robotics/ML/AI conferences (e.g., RSS, CoRL, ICRA, IROS, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR)
- Experience programming in Python, C++, or related language
