Overview As Quality Manager at Brunswick's New York Mills plant, you lead the quality strategy and Quality Management System to ensure customer satisfaction and product excellence. You collaborate with Production, Engineering, Suppliers, and Customers to drive continuous improvement, reduce defects, and uphold Brunswick Boat Group standards. You'll build a high-performing quality team and champion data-driven, cost-aware quality initiatives. Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and control day-to-day quality system operations to exceed BBG standards and satisfy customers
- Represent the plant to promote customer requirements and ensure quality objectives are met with preventative actions
- Build and coach a high-performance quality team, provide technical guidance, training, and feedback
- Collaborate across the organization, customers, and suppliers to resolve problems and achieve goals
- Promote inclusive, collaborative culture and maintain strong customer relations
- Maintain compliance with BBG Quality System Standards and develop local quality procedures
- Ensure data integrity and quality processes within the plant's Quality System
- Drive awareness and reduction of Total Cost of Quality and waste
- Champion continuous improvement using Operational Excellence tools (LSS) to improve design, supplier quality, and manufacturing
- Develop and improve process capability with Production and Engineering; lead budget/plan execution
- Ensure readiness for audits and certifications and promote safe work practices
Key requirements- 5+ years of quality management in manufacturing with assembly experience
- Leadership experience coordinating cross-functional teams
- Advanced knowledge of quality policies and procedures
- Proficiency in statistics, reliability, capability, and SPC studies; able to teach others
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting (especially Excel)
- Ability to read and explain engineering drawings including GD&T
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Formal Six Sigma training; ASQ CQE/CQM/CSSBB/CSSGB certifications preferred
