CNC Mill Machinist
Location: Maple Grove MN 55369
Shift: First Shift 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
Hiring Basis: 6-month contract to permanent basis, willing to consider on a direct hire basis.
Pay: $35-$40/Hourly/W2
Lotus Technical has a 6-month contract to permanent, or direct hire role for a CNC Mill Machinist for our manufacturing client located in Maple Grove, MN Background check and drug screening will be required. Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
DUTIES
Independently set up and operate CNC milling machines.
Machine low-volume, custom and non-standard parts requiring frequent setups and changeovers.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
Select tooling, fixtures and workholding; establish machine and tool offsets.
Determine machining sequences, feeds and speeds, and make CNC program edits at the machine.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators and gauges.
Troubleshoot setup, tooling, programming, dimensional and surface-finish issues.
Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve machining and manufacturability issues.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
5+ years of CNC machining experience, including significant CNC milling experience.
Proven ability to independently perform complete CNC mill setups from start to finish.
Experience machining low-volume, custom, prototype or non-standard parts.
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
Ability to select tooling and workholding, establish offsets, and make CNC program edits.
Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
Strong machining, mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently while meeting quality and productivity expectations.
Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical training in CNC Machining, Machine Tool Technology or a related field.
Experience with one-off parts, prototypes and small production runs requiring frequent setups and changeovers.
Experience machining steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Experience manufacturing components for industrial machinery or custom equipment.
