Overview In this role you lead audit engagements for nonprofit clients, guiding teams and maintaining strong client relationships. You drive engagement planning, budgeting, and execution while ensuring quality and compliance with GAAP, GASB, and relevant auditing standards. You will collaborate with partners and staff, support business development, and advance toward senior leadership. The position offers hybrid work and a clear path to Director, balancing client impact with professional growth.

Responsibilities- Manage multiple audit or review engagements simultaneously from planning to reporting
- Maintain ongoing client contact and develop deep knowledge of client operations and controls
- Escalate and communicate key developments to Directors or Partners and propose solutions
- Ensure engagements are properly scheduled and aligned with budgets and firm standards
- Understand and apply our audit approach; supervise and review staff work
- Lead budgeting, monitoring, and change order opportunities; explain overruns when needed
- Identify potential issues and anticipate problem areas on engagements
- Review financial statements and deliverables; direct staff and provide coaching
- Participate in the Firm's business development efforts
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- At least five years of public accounting experience with nonprofit audits
- Current and valid CPA license
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP, GASB, GAAS, and GAGAS
