Responsibilities- Serve as technical resource lead and principal investigator for complex cultural resource investigations across utilities, transportation, renewable energy, and local government
- Mentor and supervise staff and project managers; grow the Southwest cultural resources team
- Manage programs and finances for key client programs, potentially multidisciplinary
- Ensure high-quality technical outputs via quality and independent review protocols
- Lead business development and client relationship activities, including proposal elements (scope, budget, schedule)
- Maintain professional visibility through professional organizations and client networking
- Represent cultural resources strategy and growth for the Southwestern market both externally and internally
- Coordinate Construction Monitoring and Field Coordination as lead
- Possibly manage other duties related to the role in a dynamic project environment
Key requirements- Professional writing, problem solving, and communication skills
- Experience leading Phase I and II Cultural Resource Surveys in the Southwest
- Proven experience with National Register of Historic Places and California Register determinations of eligibility
- Arizona and New Mexico permitting on state and federal lands, or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Knowledge of NHPA Section 106 and 110 consultations; MOAs and Programmatic Agreements
- Data Recovery and Monitoring Plans; Historic Property Treatment Plans; Ethnographic Research; Native American and NAGPRA consultation
- Lead for Construction Monitoring Coordination and Field Coordination
- Knowledge of GIS/GPS and ability to direct mapping efforts; Registered Professional Archaeologist preferred; valid Driver's license
