Overview In this role you will advance TikTok's e-commerce recommender systems, researching and implementing cutting-edge retrieval and recommendation algorithms. You will work on large-scale systems (millions of users) to infer user interests and improve how content and products are surfaced. You'll apply ML to diverse business scenarios including search, language and video understanding, and safety. This position offers the chance to shape scalable, data-driven personalization within a fast-moving, AI-oriented team.
Responsibilities- Conduct cutting-edge ML research for retrieval and recommendation algorithms
- Build and scale large-scale e-commerce recommendation systems (10M-100M users)
- Develop user interest models from diverse data
- Apply ML to improve search ranking, NLP, video understanding, and trust/safety
Key requirements- MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years in relevant fields (recommendation, online advertising, information retrieval, NLP, ML, large-scale data mining)
- Familiar with TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Strong problem-solving in complex systems
- Experience with large-scale data processing and ML
