Overview In this role you own the end-to-end revenue close and ASC 606 application, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive accurate reporting in a rapidly evolving revenue environment. You will automate processes, leverage AI to accelerate routine tasks, and support internal and external stakeholders with timely, well-documented analyses. Your builder mindset helps scale revenue recognition as the product portfolio grows. This is a hands-on role that values initiative and meticulous execution.
Responsibilities- Own the monthly close end-to-end for revenue, including journal entries, flux analyses, reconciliations, and analytics to compress close cycles
- Apply ASC 606 to non-standard contracts, document conclusions, and adapt to evolving policy interpretations
- Pull, validate, and troubleshoot data from contracts and system outputs to ensure accuracy
- Identify and drive automation opportunities (SQL, scripts, workflow improvements) and partner with engineering for fixes
- Leverage AI tools/LLMs to draft memos, analyze data, and prototype process improvements
- Prepare key metrics, disclosures, and ad hoc analyses for management in a dynamic reporting environment
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Billing, FP&A, and FDS to implement scalable processes
- Support audit activities with organized workpapers, schedules, and control documentation
- Drive ongoing process improvements to shorten the close and reduce risk
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years of combined public accounting and/or corporate revenue accounting experience
- Solid understanding of ASC 606 and ability to apply judgment to non-standard arrangements
- Operational accounting experience in a rapidly growing company with quote-to-cash processes
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, able to validate outputs and trace transactions
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Proficient with Excel, NetSuite, and Salesforce
- Experience using AI tools (LLMs, copilots, scripting assistants) in a professional context
