Overview As Regional Underwriting Manager, you lead the Core Middle Market effort in the Midwest, driving profitable growth and underwriting excellence. You'll develop talent, shape regional strategy, and partner with agents and brokers to strengthen portfolio performance. You'll influence cross-functional teams and report to senior leadership, delivering sustainable results across multiple products. Responsibilities- Own underwriting results for the assigned region and achieve production and profitability targets
- Delegate authority and establish clear accountability within the underwriting hierarchy
- Partner with sales and production leaders to maximize profitable growth opportunities with agents & brokers
- Lead and develop staff, focusing on talent management and succession planning
- Drive strategic and operational objectives across multiple products within the region
- Analyze regional underwriting performance and formulate action plans to resolve issues
- Promote a high-performing culture through underwriter performance accountability
- Perform additional duties as assigned

- Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred; 12+ years of related experience with 7+ years in management
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation preferred
