Overview In this role you will lead and expand the State and Local Government (SLG) audit practice, guiding client engagements and staff development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to help clients secure funding and achieve audit and financial planning objectives. You will manage engagement progress, budgets, and timelines while communicating findings and recommendations to partners. Responsibilities- Manage and develop relationships with clients
- Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding to positively impact their communities
- Support clients in achieving audit and financial planning objectives using appropriate tools
- Mentor and develop staff; oversee engagement teams
- Lead engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines
- Communicate developments, facts, conclusions, and recommendations to the engagement principal
Key requirements- Bachelor in Accounting
- minimum 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm driving strategic management
- Experience leading teams and managing governmental audits and Single audits preferred
- CPA license certification is required
