GCP Platform Engineering Lead (VP)

In this role you will lead platform engineering for a GCP-based internal platform, driving onboarding automation and secure, scalable cloud capabilities. You will define standards, embed security guardrails, and ensure reliable operation with measurable SLAs. You'll partner with development teams to implement cloud solutions that meet business and technical requirements and optimise for security and cost. This leadership position offers scope to shape how teams adopt golden paths and guardrails to accelerate secure cloud onboarding.

• Lead platform engineering delivery for onboarding automation (Terraform modules, pipelines, validations).
• Define engineering standards (module quality, state strategy, PR controls, drift management).
• Embed security-by-default guardrails and support compliance evidence automation.
• Operate the platform including reliability, incident response, SLOs/SLAs, and continuous improvement.

• Deep hands-on GCP + Terraform at scale; strong Python automation experience.
• Experience leading platform teams and operating production-grade internal platforms.
