Overview

In this role you will provide consultation on employee relations matters, partnering with leadership to improve policies and processes. You will investigate workplace issues, ensure lawful and fair policy application, and support engagement and retention initiatives. You'll collaborate with People Team Centers of Excellence and legal/compliance partners to address staffing concerns and drive better employee relations outcomes. Responsibilities
  • Serve as initial intake and assessment contact for employee issues
  • Investigate workplace concerns (harassment, hostile environment, hotline reports)
  • Ensure uniform application of HR policies and applicable laws
  • Advise leaders on best employee relations practices and problem resolution
  • Coach leaders to improve engagement and retention
  • Coordinate with Centers of Excellence to address staffing and retention issues
  • Communicate employment law policies to leaders and employees
  • Respond to unemployment and regulatory claims
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance and others on employee matters
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; 5 years HR Employee Relations/Consulting experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 5 years HR experience with at least 3 years handling employee relations matters
  • Strong knowledge of employment and EEO laws and regulations
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, guidelines, and policies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certifications preferred
