Overview

As an Enterprise Architect, you'll shape architectural strategy across products and platforms, guiding modernization efforts and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. You'll partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to design scalable solutions and accelerate delivery. You will mentor teams, evaluate new technologies, and lead architectural reviews to drive impactful technical direction. You'll operate across domains to turn complex problems into pragmatic, reusable solutions while advancing the organization's risk and data capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a conduit between Global Architecture and engineering teams
  • Collaborate with architects from different groups
  • Introduce and train teams on new technologies
  • Lead problem-solving across projects and coordinate resources for complex issues
  • Evaluate new technologies and assess their business applicability
  • Steer technical direction and architecture evolution through reviews
  • Monitor system health and propose remedies for negative trends
  • Identify subsystems to evolve into shared infrastructure
  • Research and assess industry/tech advancements and build strategic alliances
Key requirements
  • 10+ years in software, network, or systems engineering
  • BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent (advanced degree preferred)
  • Strong understanding of programming languages, code, and databases
  • Expert-level knowledge in programming languages (e.g., .Net, Java, HTML, Perl, C++, C#, PHP) or equivalent engineering discipline
  • Expert in multiple technologies: Parallel/Distributed Processing, Information Retrieval, Data Mining, NLP, large-scale databases, Declarative Languages, HPC
  • Solid knowledge in Network Design, Storage Architectures, SOA, XML/XSLT, Parallel Processing Architectures (SMP/NUMA)
  • Experience with Windows Server, UNIX/Linux, and z/OS
  • Strong program/project management, time management, and change management skills across teams
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-support capabilities, with risk/impact analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and presentation skills
