Associate Actuary - A&H Pricing, North America

Overview

In this role, you will lead the A&H pricing function, guiding product design, pricing, and analytical support to senior leadership. You'll collaborate across Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing and Underwriting to align pricing with regulatory standards and corporate goals. You will drive product innovation, quantify risk, and provide actionable insights to influence budget, portfolios, and business segments. This position offers a chance to mentor actuaries and shape pricing strategy in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Drive product innovation by collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market.
  • Provide technical pricing guidance, product development analytics, performance measurement and financial reporting aligned with regulatory standards and corporate goals.
  • Assess and provide risk mitigation solutions to ensure alignment with corporate goals and regulatory standards.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership affecting budget, product design, portfolio management and business segments.
  • Mentor a team of actuaries and analysts, fostering collaboration and actuarial best practices.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders independently and effectively.
  • Manage projects such as transformation projects for Pricing Management Reporting; Budget and reinsurance planning.
Key requirements
  • BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area
  • ASA / ACAS designation preferred
  • At least 4+ years of actuarial experience, A&H pricing experience preferred
  • Advanced experience with Excel, Python, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge with R and/or other data visualization software a plus
