Overview In this Tax Manager role, you will own a client-facing tax practice within a growing public accounting firm. You'll manage and review individual and business returns while serving as the primary contact for a book of clients. You'll identify tax planning opportunities and guide engagements to timely, high-quality completion with the team. Responsibilities- Prepare and review individual and business income tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1120, 990, 1041)
- Review returns for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
- Sign tax returns within your area of authorization
- Manage an assigned book of business as primary client contact
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Advise clients on tax matters and identify planning opportunities
- Take over and manage an established client portfolio as part of growth
- Collaborate with tax and accounting team to ensure quality and timeliness
- Assist with onboarding and transition of new clients
- Contribute to practice growth through client relationships and referrals
