Overview As Controller, you will lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting under US GAAP. You will partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decisions. You'll develop accounting policies, manage month- and year-end closes, and mentor a high-performing team. This role sits at the core of finance, enabling scalable real estate investment operations and value creation.

Responsibilities- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, and treasury operations
- Design and implement accounting policies, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with IT to maintain internal controls
- Lead month-end and year-end close for corporate and subsidiaries per US GAAP
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and variances
- Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate data
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with founders and other departments
- Mentor and develop accounting staff and drive cross-functional collaboration
- Communicate financial information accurately across the organization
Key requirements- Bachelor in Accounting (or related field)
- CPA qualified with a large accounting firm
- Knowledge of MOIC, TVPI, IRR, and time-weighted returns
- Minimum 7 years of accounting management experience
- Industry experience in Private Equity or Hedge Funds, preferably Real Estate
- Experience with Yardi or equivalent accounting system
- Analytical and critical-thinking abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
