Overview In this role you will coordinate and oversee production in a manufacturing cell to meet on-time, quality delivery for internal and external customers. You lead daily production activities to hit volume, cost, and quality targets, while optimizing staffing and sequences to boost productivity. You'll identify production problems, provide reports for process improvement, and support lean/6 Sigma initiatives. You work as a cross-functional team member, mentoring others, and driving continuous improvement through established quality systems and safety standards. This position offers meaningful impact on manufacturing efficiency and product quality within a global technology group.
Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate production activities to meet goals
- Plan and adjust work schedules, assignments, and production sequences
- Lead safety and housekeeping initiatives using 1+5s
- Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Read production reports and schedules to determine requirements
- Inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects
- Train, develop, and evaluate employees
- Drive continuous improvement via lean and Six Sigma methods
- Manage time records and control operating expenses
- Collaborate across departments to optimize production flow
- Resolve employee issues and address complaints
- Ensure deadlines are met
Key requirements- Associate Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years as a manufacturing production supervisor, preferably in lean environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
