Overview

As Construction Quality Director, you will lead quality oversight on a major St. Louis project, driving compliance and continuous improvement. You'll mentor the QA/QC team, guide submittal reviews and pre-installation meetings, and ensure materials and practices meet standards. You'll shape quality training, develop constructability insights, and report on quality metrics to stakeholders. This role combines hands-on field leadership with program-wide quality governance, enabling safe, durable infrastructure outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee construction quality throughout the project lifecycle
  • Facilitate submittal and shop drawing reviews and pre-construction meetings
  • Manage subcontractor quality plans and provide detailed feedback
  • Develop and deliver quality training for staff and site teams
  • Provide technical guidance to field and office personnel and maintain accurate records
  • Identify potential quality issues and drive remediation actions
  • Develop and enforce constructability reports and quality procedures
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure excellent customer service through quality processes
  • Maintain and update the Quality Program, policies, and manual
  • Coordinate budgets for the Quality Department and produce lessons-learned bulletins
Key requirements
  • BS Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related curriculum
  • 10 years of professional Construction Quality Management experience or equivalent
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Understanding of ASTM standards and construction testing procedures
  • Experience in all construction trades including building envelopes, life safety, interiors, MEP/FP
  • Experience in large, ground-up projects (Aviation/airport)
