Overview In this role you will provide detailed project controls analysis and reporting to support budgets, baselines, and forecasts within HDR's Power group. You will collaborate with technical leads and project managers to influence schedules and costs, perform EV/M; projections, and ensure compliance with wage requirements and client contracts. The role blends accounting rigor with project management insight to drive reliable, value-driven project outcomes. Responsibilities- Analyze and report on project, program, or business unit status within project controls systems
- Develop and report on baselines, cost control, budgeting, EVM, projections, variances, schedules, and program integration
- Support technical project management activities using project controls knowledge
- Serve as centralized point of contact to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with technical staff and managers to influence schedule, budget, and re-forecast decisions
- Assist with information management, risk assessment, and communications to support project teams
- Prepare and validate cost estimates, baselines, and monthly variance reports
- Apply EVM or similar techniques to relate planned, executed, and actual work
- Work with leads to integrate risks/opportunities with schedule and budget and assure service quality
- Supervise project accountants as needed and handle subcontractor financials
- Lead revenue recognition for the business unit and participate in forecasting and planning
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure compliance with state wage requirements
- Lead financial review of client proposals and CIF process
- Perform ad hoc reporting as needed
Key requirements- Associate degree in closely related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience; advanced degree may offset years of experience
- Understanding of schedules, cost plans, and spend plans across project controls tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and collaborate in fast-paced environments
- Self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook)
