Overview In this role you lead credit operations for Emerging Middle Market clients, overseeing analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management to balance growth with risk. You'll engage with cross-functional partners to drive strategic credit solutions and participate in complex transactions and escalation when needed. Responsibilities- Underwrite and portfolio manage EMM clients across industries and geographies
- Formulate and tailor credit and banking solutions for working capital, capex, real estate, and growth
- Lead a high-volume origination and portfolio management process with cross-functional collaboration
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of credit professionals across levels
- Oversee credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio performance; participate in initial assessment and approval discussions
- Monitor portfolio risk and performance; adjust strategies to protect risk appetite
- Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Drive business growth through strategic planning and market analysis; lead ad-hoc projects
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to mitigate impacts
- Engage in talent management activities to train and coach staff and maintain a talent bench
- Provide escalation on complex transactions and ensure quality of work product
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field (or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years of progressive credit underwriting and portfolio management experience
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in underwriting or credit management
- Extensive experience in credit management and lending operations with strong risk management understanding
- Proven leadership with ability to inspire and develop talent
