Responsibilities- Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to enable business strategy while managing risk
- Resolve complex issues and disputes with expert guidance
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Collaborate with enterprise partners to deliver effective legal services
- Manage legal risks and develop risk management frameworks
- Escalate complex matters to senior legal leadership when needed
Key requirements- 8+ years of relevant experience and a JD or equivalent
- 5+ years focused on product or regulatory counseling in Finance/FinTech
- Ability to collaborate with international teams and drive global decisions
- Knowledge of federal and state consumer financial laws, data privacy, and guidance from CFPB/FTC
- Experience advising on financial legal issues in Canada, Mexico, Latin America preferred
- Ability to design and modify products with regulatory guidance and disclosures
