Overview

In this role you drive inclusive talent initiatives across the DC office and firmwide, partnering with leadership to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent. You will own program design, execution, and governance, balancing strategic aims with practical delivery. You'll collaborate across HR, practice groups, and ERGs to foster an inclusive culture and measurable outcomes. Responsibilities
  • Design and drive implementation of the firmwide inclusive talent management strategy within area(s) of focus
  • Partner with ITM and HCM teams to advance inclusive recruitment, retention and development
  • Oversee operational aspects of ITM programs (scheduling, communications, events, vendors)
  • Support complex ad hoc employee requests and manage competing priorities
  • Act as advisor for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • Collaborate with Recruiting, HR, Practice Groups, and leadership to implement retention initiatives
  • Promote equitable access to opportunities, mentorship, sponsorship, and leadership development
  • Guide sponsorship and conference decisions per guidelines, with escalation as needed
  • Build relationships with external organizations to advance ITM
  • Represent the firm at internal/external functions and perform related duties with independent judgment
  • DC office: lead ITM initiatives locally, resolve issues, escalate risk as needed
  • Own inclusion metrics tracking, reporting, and KPI development for recruitment, retention, promotion
  • Prepare responses to client surveys, rankings, and benchmarking related to talent and inclusion
  • Monitor market trends and best practices in retention and workplace culture; manage budgets and resources
Key requirements
  • 4-year college degree
  • 5+ years in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field with independent project leadership
  • Experience in professional development, recruiting, talent management or diversity in a law firm or client service setting preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and independent judgment abilities
  • Advanced project management and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to manage confidential information and multiple complex assignments
