Overview In this hybrid Tax Senior role, you prepare and review complex tax returns and deliver proactive planning advisory to clients. You will work within a collaborative, client-focused environment and support growth within the firm. You'll handle multiple engagements, mentor junior staff, and stay current with tax regulations to drive accurate, timely results. Responsibilities- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Perform technical tax research and document findings
- Manage and prioritize multiple client engagements and deliver high-quality service in a timely manner
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff and interns
- Identify and communicate tax planning opportunities to clients
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and responsiveness
- Assist with IRS and state tax audits and correspondence
- Stay up to date with changes in tax regulations and accounting standards
- Use tax software and technology tools effectively to improve efficiency
Key requirements- 3+ years of recent tax experience in public accounting
- Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax laws
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Master's in Taxation or CPA license preferred
